My name is Valeria, and I'm a native Italian speaker who has a deep passion for sharing my language and culture through teaching.
I hold double degrees in Languages and Teaching from Macquarie University, and I have been teaching Italian in Sydney since 2009.
My teaching experience includes community colleges, daycare centres, and primary and secondary schools, as well as tutoring fellow students at the university level.

Valerie began teaching my son in September 2021 when he was in Year 10. Because of COVID, we began with Zoom lessons and it worked well so we've stuck with that format.
My son is in Year 12 now and preparing for his HSC. He and Valerie catch up online weekly and he enjoys the lessons because he can ask about any grammar queries and he has an opportunity to practise his Italian with a native speaker.
He has done well in his Italian assessments at school and he hopes to continue studying Italian at university.
